Faith Formation

Faith Formation

Faith formation is an important part of the ministry of Shalom. We provide faith formation for all ages on Sunday morning and for youth on Wednesday evening. In addition, we offer catechism classes for high school aged youth interested in baptism and church membership and membership classes for adults interested in membership at Shalom.

Children’s & Youth Sunday School

Sunday School for children and junior highers begins with a time of singing in the basement at 9:30 each week. Following the singing time, children split up into age group classes which can be found here:

Pre-Kindergarten—main level rooms 1 & 2
Kindergarten & Grade 1—basement room 7
Grades 2 & 3—basement room 5
Grades 4 & 5—basement room 8
Grades 6 – 8—basement room 9/10
High School—upper level

In addition to our three regularly scheduled classes, Shalom often offers six-week topical studies for adults. The Adult Education Ministry Team is always looking for folks with interest in leading a topical study. Contact Ken Gaeddert, Dick Rempel, or Stan Smucker with interest.
