The Homeless Shelter Ministry Team coordinates promotion of and quarterly coverage at the Harvey County Homeless Shelter. Each quarter Shalom is responsible for providing volunteers for either three days or four days for two shifts per day at the shelter (5 to 10 pm and 10 pm to 8 am) and an evening meal for all staff, residents, and volunteers.
Our next opportunities to serve at the Shelter is coming up July 30 – August 2, and October 19-21. Training sessions for volunteers can be scheduled at the convenience of the volunteer by contacting Marv Zehr.
