Western District Conference Resolutions: Copies of two resolutions that have been submitted for delegate discernment and vote at this summer’s Western District Conference annual assembly (July 6-8) are available on the table in the church foyer. We encourage you to look these over and join us for a forum discussion on these resolutions on Wednesday evening, May 23, 7:00-8:30 pm. Our hope is that our delegates to the summer assembly will be able to listen to the voices of Shalom members so that they might better represent our congregation in this important discernment process.If you have questions about the resolutions or our Wednesday evening forum please call Pastor Eric Massanari, Shalom office (283-5281).

Women’s Gathering: Sunday, June 3, 3-5 pm

Women of Shalom are invited to a special event to listen to the stories, in letter form, of a few of our elders’ journeys to womanhood and join in a ritual of celebration for their gifts to our community. Whether you’re 16, 45 or 102 (or anything in between), mark your calendars for 3-5 pm at the Fellowship room, Saturday, June 3, at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton. Contact Yolanda Kauffman or Marathana Prothro for more information and to give tentative RSVPs so they may plan accordingly for refreshments.
